The Galway Bay Gallop is held on Saturday March 22 at 2pm in Central Park. It’s 3.32 miles and 3 beverages long. The course is two loops of the bridle path around the reservoir.
This is a handicapped race. Slowest runner starts first, fastest runner starts last. Starting times are based on runners best pace from a previous 4 mile race. This ensures a level playing field for runners (fast drinkers have an edge!)
Runners drink their first beer or whiskey shot at the start, at half way and at the finish line. The winner is the first person to finish their last drink post crossing the finish line.
Multiple and varied Irish themed prizes, with some just for showing up!
