Do you like whiskey?
Are you a runner?
Maybe you would like to try and win a bottle of whiskey at a run?
A lover of Whiskey, Abbe Lew devised a way for all to enjoy—The Inaugural Whiskeython: A five mile race where the first place finisher receives a bottle of fine whiskey.
Not to fear, there is no drinking whiskey whilst running. It will only be a celebratory drink for after.
The race begins at 11:00 AM in front of the UN Building on East 43rd Street and 1st Avenue.
Abbe Lew and her trusty friend Madame Walker will be timing contestants. After the start, you will see them again at the finish.
START: in front of the UN (1st Avenue and 43rd Street) 11AM
FINISH: Vietnam Memorial in Battery Park
PRIZE: 2 bottles of whiskey (1st Place winner & raffle winner)
After the run we will convene at historic Fraunces Tavern to have celebratory drinks.
